Configuring your Google Sheet steps correctly and resolving issues quickly can help get you going when you run into an error.

# Your Google access token is invalid or has expired - please connect your Google account to continue


Problem: as a security precaution, Google may request that you reconnect your Google account with axiom.ai.

Fix: follow the on-screen option to reconnect your Google account before re-running the automation.

# No data read from spreadsheet, aborting run. Turn on 'continue if empty' in this step if you want the run to proceed*


Problem: the automation could not find any data within the Google Sheet to use in the automation - this may be due to no data existing within the Google sheet.

Fix: confirm that there is data in the Google Sheet, alternatively, enable the continue if empty option within the "Read data from google sheet" step.

# You do not have editor permissions for this Google sheet with the Google account connected to your axiom.ai account, you wil not be able to write to it


Problem: you do not have editor permissions to use the Google sheet that is set within this automation.

Fix: check the permissions that are set on the Google sheet that you wish to use, if you do not have editor permissions, reach out to the owner of the Google sheet.

# No data in Google Sheet


Error: No data read from spreadsheet, aborting run. Turn on 'continue if empty' in this step if you want the run to proceed.

Problem: The automation could not find any data within the Google Sheet set in the automation - this may be due to no data existing within the Google sheet.

Fix: Confirm that there is data in the Google Sheet, alternatively, enable the continue if empty option within the read data from google sheet step.

# Sheet not found


Error: The sheet cannot be found. Please verify the URL and the name are valid.

Alternative error: Requested entity not found.

Problem: The URL of the Google Sheet, or the Google Sheet that was set within your automation has not been found.

Fix: Check the Google Sheet that has been set within your automation and confirm it exists and you have the correct permissions to edit it.

# First cell is not correctly formatted


Error: First cell value is not in the correct format - it should be capital letters followed by optional numbers. For example, B10 starts from column B and row 10.

Problem: The value that is entered into the first cell option of a is formatted incorrectly, this option appears in our 'spreadsheet' steps.

Fix: Confirm that the format of the value entered into the first cell field is formatted correctly. For example, B10 for column B, row 10.

# Invalid range


Error: Invalid range set in step. Please adjust the value in 'Add to existing data’ to a valid range.

Problem: The range selected in the input under 'add to existing data' in the write data to a google sheet step is not valid.

Fix: Check that the range that has been input, and ensure that it is valid.

# Values must be strings


Error: Values must be strings. Found value "undefined" of type "undefined" on row 1.

Problem: The values in the Google Sheet must be strings to be used within your automation.

Fix: Verify that the data being read from your Google Sheet is in String (text) format.

# Unable to delete all rows


Error: You can't delete all the rows on a Google Sheet. Please make sure your sheet contains either empty rows, or rows with data.

Problem: Deleting all rows within a Google Sheet is not possible and may cause errors within the sheet.

Fix: Leave 1 row minimum within your sheet.

# Google Sheets unavailable


Error: Unable to fetch data from the Google Sheet. Please try again shortly. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Problem: There was an issue communicating with Google Sheets, this may be due to Google Sheet downtime or an issue with your network connection.
