JavaScript error after uninstalling the desktop application

Error: A JavaScript error occurred in the main process.

Problem: This is caused by a long-standing issue within Windows when uninstalling Electron applications, it occasionally does not fully uninstall the application files.

Fix: The leftover files will need to be removed manually - as Axiom.ai does not store many files on your PC, this is pretty quick to do. You will find the folders containing the files located at the following locations, delete both:

The first is: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\axiom-desktop

The second is: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Local\Programs\axiom-desktop

Where <USER> is your user - performing a search for “axiom-desktop” should also show these two folders. If you're using a different drive than "C", you may also need to change this.

This should only occur with Windows, contact us if you experience it on another platform.
