How to use a proxy to run your automation
Using a proxy with your Axiom.ai automations can provide a powerful upgrade for your automations. Bringing over your existing proxies and integrating them into your automations is super simple and just takes a minute or less.
Axiom.ai does not currently provide proxies, but third-party proxies can be used within your automations.
For questions regarding locating the protocol, IP address or the port for your proxy, contact your proxy provider. For questions about the feature or issues when using a valid proxy, contact us.
# Why use a proxy
There are various reasons to use a proxy within your automation, including:
- Enhanced privacy and anonymity.
- Accessing geo-restricted content, such as region specific subdomains.
- Improved security.
- Testing websites.
Plus many others. Using a proxy allows for more control over how your automation appears to websites.

Select the protocol by selecting it from the "Select protocol" dropdown. Selecting the correct protocol will ensure that your automation can use the proxy, failing to do so may prevent your automation from running.

# Port
Enter the port number that has been provided by your proxy provider in the "Port" input.

- Enter your "Password".
This will not work when using the "https", "sock4", or "sock5" protocols.
